Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been named Premier League manager of the month for March, which is all the more impressive seeing as he was only appointed by the Blues in late January.
Tuchel is also just the second German manager in the history of the Premier League to win the prestigious monthly award after Jurgen Klopp.
Chelsea remain unbeaten under Tuchel in all competitions since his arrival, which included three Premier League games in March from which the Blues took seven points from a possible nine to move back into the top four. They were previously in a mid-table position when he took over.
Tuchel's side impressively beat both Liverpool and Everton in back-to-back games, before finishing off their March schedule with a third consecutive clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against Leeds.
“I am really happy to have received this award and I believe it is a great achievement for everybody at the club who is involved in putting the team together to play each week,” Tuchel told Chelsea’s official website upon accepting the accolade. Report here
